Feeling Crafty?

Come along to the new Craft Social at Mecca Cafe, 1 Victoria Road, Devonport from 7-9pm tomorrow (Monday 14th June).

Craft Social is now being organised by the lovely Trish Van Bussell of Fireworks Agnes. The first night will have a knitting theme to it. Here's a message from Trish:

"Come and join us for a relaxing evening, being creative, chatting and winding down after the day. Bring along your craft e.g. knitting - that is appropriate for a cafe.

If you're new to knitting and craft - come along and have a look through some books and talk to us about what and how to start. Or if you would like to learn to knit bring along some needles and wool, and we will start you off. Or just come along and chat.

Don't worry if you don't know anyone else that is coming, wander down to Mecca and ask for the table reserved for " Trish Knit/Craft"

Devonport Christmas Festival on this weekend and we are there!

It is only a week until the next Devonport Craft Market. This one is a little different in that it is being held on Windsor Reserve. We are part of the Devonport Christmas Festival, which incorporates the Lions Santa Parade, Just Workout Dance in the Park, a Children’s rummage sale, food stalls, bouncy castles and more!

Due to the market being held in the park there will be a mini Devonport Craft Market consisting of 20 of our wonderful stallholders for you to buy from. There will really be something for everyone and it is a great time to get some of those presents ticked off your to-do list whilst the kids are being entertained.

The Devonport Craft Market will be back in the Community House for the first market of the year on February 14^th.

For all you stallholders, applications will open for the market on January 11^th.

Craft Social will be on the 13^th December 7.30pm at the Community House. All welcome. Cost is $3pp and the theme for the Craft Swap is “Summer Holidays”

Craft Social Sunday 8th November

It was a cold night but 5 brave crafters ventured out to the Devonport Community House for Craft Social. There were a mixture of new and regular Craft Socialers but a good time was had by all.

The theme for the Craft Swap was Christmas. Check out the lovely wares that were made and swapped.

Craft Social Tonight

Just a quick reminder that Craft Social is on tonight at the Devonport Community House, Clarence Street (the market venue) from 7.30pm. The swap theme is "Christmas". All welcome. Cake and coffee provided. The cost is $3. Hope to see you there!

Craft Social

Chocolate cake, lots of fun and wonderful crafty goodies. Is there any better way to spend a Sunday evening? We had a lovely group of 11 turn up for last night's Craft Social at the Devonport Community House. The green themed craft swap was a great success. As you can see from this photograph, there were some extremely gorgeous goodies and everyone who participated was able to score something to take home.

The next Craft Social will take place at the Community House on Sunday 11th October at 7.30pm. The Craft swap theme for October is 'Pink or Breast Cancer Awareness'. The idea is to make something with that theme in mind and bring it along to the Social to swap. The Craft Social is open to everyone, not just Devonport Craft Market stallholders so if you feel the urge, please do come along!!
